The Story Behind Tiwashi

Hey, I'm Leon. I grew up in Agadir — the big city just south of Morocco's most famous surf coast. I started surfing at Anza beach a couple of years ago, pretty late by local standards. Now I live in Berlin, but I come back to surf whenever I can.

I built this site because I saw the same problem every tourist faces: there are dozens of amazing surf schools between Agadir and Imsouane, but they're nearly impossible to find and compare before you arrive. Most rely on Instagram DMs and walk-ins. Meanwhile, tourists are scrolling through scattered TripAdvisor reviews and random blog posts trying to figure out which school is right for them.

This site is my attempt to fix that. Every school listed here is one I've either surfed with, visited in person, or vetted through the local community. I'm not sponsored by any of them. When I recommend something, it's because I genuinely think it's good.
