About Anza Beach
Anza is Agadir's local surf beach — a 6km stretch of sand with consistent beach breaks that work on most swells. It's where local surfers learned to ride, and where most Agadir-based surf schools run their beginner lessons. The vibe is completely different from Taghazout: no tourist infrastructure, no cafes overlooking the lineup, just a long beach with waves. The northern end near the cliffs picks up more swell and offers more power for intermediate surfers, while the middle section is perfect for beginners with gentle whitewater reform. Anza is rarely flat — even when Taghazout's points need a bigger swell to work, Anza's beach break catches everything. It's the most underrated spot on this coast.
Getting There
Drive north from Agadir center along the coast road, or take a petit taxi for about 20 MAD. Parking along the road above the beach. No facilities — bring water.
