About Imsouane Bay
Imsouane Bay is home to one of the longest waves in Africa — a gentle, rolling right-hander that can peel for 500+ meters on a big swell. The bay is a natural amphitheater: the wave wraps around the headland and runs along the inside of the bay, getting progressively mellower. This makes it ideal for longboarders and improvers who want long, forgiving rides. The village is smaller and quieter than Taghazout, with a more Moroccan feel — fishing boats on the beach, tagine spots instead of smoothie bars. The downside: it's an hour north of Agadir, and the road is winding. But the wave makes the drive worth it.
Getting There
1 hour drive north of Agadir / 40 min from Taghazout. The road is paved but winding. Shared taxis run from Agadir bus station.
