About Banana Point

Banana Point is the wave that makes intermediates fall in love with Morocco. A right-hand point break that peels along the rocks for 50–100 meters on a good day, it's the stepping stone between beach break surfing and the more serious points further north. The takeoff is forgiving enough for confident beginners on bigger boards, but the wave has enough shape to practice real turns. Named after the banana plantation above the break. Best on a clean NW swell with light winds — when it's on, it's one of the most fun waves on the coast.

Getting There

Access from Tamraght — walk north along the coast or take the dirt road above the cliffs. The point is visible from the main road.
